SUMMARY
What's going on everyone, Welcome to another edition of Confessions of a Native Son, I'm your host Mike Steadman, a Marine Corps Veteran, Entrepreneur, and Aspiring author, enjoys thought-provoking and engaging dialogue on race, culture, and business.
In this episode, I discuss why" boxing is wellness" and how my brand, IRONBOUND Boxing, is using our training methods to improve the health & wellness of people of color. Due to the abundance of chronic health issues such as diabetes, obesity, and other ailments, within communities of color, we are disproportionality affected by COVID-19. With the challenges of social distancing, PTSD from months of quarantine, and economic hardships, As a nation, we need to come up with creative solutions to help mitigate death from COVID-19 and future respiratory viruses. My hope is that by discussing IRONBOUND Boxing's approach to addressing these issues, we can manifest them into existent. As always, thank you for sharing your time with me and I hope you enjoy the show.
